Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis and other eVTOLs off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable, on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we carried out the first-ever piloted flight of a fully electric multicopter and have since conducted more than 1,500 public and private test flights across the world (www.volocopter.com). 

Your mission during this flight:

The Product Owner will be a core member of the VoloIQ team and lead the development of the Flight Analytics and Flight Planning solutions of VoloIQ. Core tasks include shaping the product vision and roadmap, gathering requirements from relevant stakeholders, creating and managing the product backlog, prioritizing features and ensuring that the development team is delivering high-quality, on-time results.

Check in your professional skills:

• Master's Degree or PhD in STEM subject, ideally Aerospace Engineering, (mobile) Robotics or Computer Science
• SW engineering/development experience in Python and C++ (including version control and CI)
• Solid knowledge of ongoing UAM and and UAS regulation activities
• Solid know how on flight test and certification activities
• Experience in aircraft and UAV operations
• Experience in Robotics/Aerospace/UAV
• Expert knowledge of technical aspects of aerospace and robotics systems in dynamics, control and motion planning
• Project management skills
• Self-depended way of working
• Strong communication skills
• Self-started with the ability to work both alone and as part of a team
• High sense of reliability and accountability, as well as hands-on attitude
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks, such as SAFe
