Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis and other eVTOLs off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable, on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we carried out the first-ever piloted flight of a fully electric multicopter and have since conducted more than 1,500 public and private test flights across the world (www.volocopter.com). 

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead our Avionics and Flight Control project teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the teams to deliver their results in time, cost, and quality using their technical knowledge, while maintaining real-time transparency regarding the critical path in the project.

Your mission during this flight:
•    Lead a complex technical topic in a transversal team.
•    Provide all relevant information and drive the teams to deliver their results in time, cost, and quality using their technical knowledge.
•    Ensure synchronization of specific plans with relevant interface partners, program management, and planners from other departments.
•    Track risks, tasks, and open issues, develop mitigation actions and assist by removing blockers.
•    Foster a culture of continuous improvement by challenging existing methodologies and proposing innovative solutions to optimize project timelines and performance.
•    Provide transparency for budget status.
•    Creating the work breakdown, capacity planning and stakeholder management.
 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong experience in aircraft development programs including development processes (e.g. ARP 4754) from pre-development over development, production towards entry into service
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
• Ability to adapt to change and prioritize tasks based on changing business needs.
• Excellent English skills in written and speaking.
• Strong communication & negotiation skills.
