Project Manager - Flight Science (m/f/d)

Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). Job Description

Your crew during this flight:

• The entire Flight Science department, which consists of 2 teams
• The CTO and any relevant stakeholders within the CTO arm of our organization

Your mission during this flight:

• Support the Head of Flight Science, any Team Managers, and the CTO, with day-to-day organizational tasks.
• Create and maintain transparency in the transversal team for timeline and critical path.
• Ensure synchronization of specific plans (and delays) with relevant interface partners, program management and planners from other departments.
• Track risks, tasks and open issues, develop mitigation actions and assist by removing blockers and escalate according to internal escalation path.
• Support to improve planning methodology and governance.
• Provide transparency for budget status.
• Creating the work breakdown
• Capacity Planning
• Support in managing & coordinating with suppliers according to the project/company needs
• Support to improve planning methodology and governance

• Lead to remove blockers to ensure project progress (if required in alignment with the supplier)
• Plan and align project budgets and create and update forecasts regularly.
• Create reports on demand and ensure transparency of project progress and forecast
• Solve complex project management problems
• Schedule responsibility for a dedicated complex project
• Manage interfaces and dependencies between multiple projects within and outside of the CTO organization.

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

Education & Working Experience:
• Bachelor/Master/PHD Engineering degree
• A minimum 7 years of experience in a relevant industry
• Proven track-record in technical team management and guidance and/or different stakeholders
• Strong problem solving skills
• Comfortable in uncertain and complex environments
• Demonstrated experience in Project Management
• Experience in aerospace environment
• Advanced training in the areas of traditional or agile project management (e.g. IPMA / GPM Level; APM Practitioner Level; SCRUM Master, etc.)
