Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis and other eVTOLs off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable, on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we carried out the first-ever piloted flight of a fully electric multicopter and have since conducted more than 1,500 public and private test flights across the world (www.volocopter.com). 

We are looking for a Working Student in Project Management to join our VoloCity Chief Engineering development team in Bruchsal. As a working student, you will play a key role in supporting the successful technical execution of our aircraft development - on time, at cost and with high quality.

Your mission during this flight:

• You will support our Project Managers with the aircraft development in the Chief Engineering part of our organisation
• You will maintain the project development timeline using Jira
• You will keep our Confluence sections up to date, ensuring that other departments have access to the latest information
• You will ensure that relevant stakeholders have transparency regarding our project timelines and critical paths
• You will track risks, tasks, and open issues. You will escalate issues according to the internal escalation path when necessary
• You will maintain and create budget reports
• You will coordinate and prepare documents to assist in decision-making
• You will create presentations and run regular meetings such as technical or project management sync

Check in your professional skills:

• You are currently studying towards an engineering degree (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable subject) with a focus on Aerospace and/or Management
• First relevant working experience - already completed projects or internships in technical environments
• Excellent MS Office Skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Experience and skills working with Jira and Confluence
• Strong communication skills, ability to deliver complex messages in concise and understandable manner
• Excellent organization & project management skills
• You show initiative, enjoy accountability, and have a solution-oriented way of working
• Strong analytical skills, an affinity for numbers, and attention to detail
• Excellent English, written and spoken (German is a plus)
• You are available for minimum 6 months on site in Bruchsal
