We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring urban air mobility to life, by getting air taxis and drones off the ground in a way that complements current transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electric multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale VoloCity aircrafts (www.volocopter.com).

Job Description

Your crew during this flight:

As a member of our Business Development Team, you are driving Volocopter's activities in building up future commercial air taxi routes in metropoles all over the globe and take a key role in creating and realizing top priority goals in close partnership with different departments throughout the entire Volocopter organization. You initiate, manage, and maintain strategic partnerships along with Volocopter and contribute to the further development of our company’s overall strategy and go-to-market approach.

Your mission during this flight:

  • Be a pioneer – Identifying market potential to independently manage “go-to-market” projects in relevant locations together with partners and build up local/regional ecosystem with top partners from aviation and infrastructure.
  • Driver of key projects – Together with a senior manager you will be responsible for important institutional and business partnerships, closely maintain these collaborations to develop and manage new business and international city projects.
  • Business strategist – You will evaluate and initiate business opportunities by performing a range of quantitative and qualitative analyses. You demonstrate strong quantitative skills by building local business models that unlock the best value of the local circumstances.
  • Team player and trusted colleague – You will actively contribute to the Business Development Team and beyond in order to complete tasks, meet our joint goals or manage internal projects.
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Academic degree in economics, business and engineering or comparable study program
  • >3 years of professional experience in airline/aviation business or management consultancy with strong project management skills
  • Excellent command in spoken and written English is required
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote)
  • Experience in the mobility, aviation or drone industry
  • Passionate team player and pioneer spirit

Preferred:

  • First experience in planning, budgeting and managing complex projects
  • Experience in business model and value chain design and analysis
  • Commercial or operations experience of an airline or aviation company
