Job Description

Volocopter is currently establishing a Strategic Quality Management Team with the purpose to manage compliance with the different organizational requirements from within one central location. As Quality Compliance Auditor you are directly interfacing with Design, Production & Air Operations-Team of Volocopter and ensure fulfilling the Aviation requirements during built-up of the Business Management System. You are key to establish and implement those processes that span all the activities for the future approved organizations, and you are coordinating with the respective areas to ensure that each requirement is implemented in a consistent and efficient way. In this position, you adapt to internal and external changes that could affect the ongoing compliance of the management system and you take a liaison role between operational activities and management.

Your Tasks:

  • Ensure that company approvals are implemented in an efficient manner
  • Ensure that company policies, procedures, and work instructions are documented in a clear, simple and concise manner
  • Assist in the coordination of subcontractors by covering quality relevant elements
  • Train company personnel in the documented company policies and therefore help to ensure that personnel have received appropriate training and are able to perform tasks
  • Identify relevant legislative requirements
  • Conduct first- and second party aviation, safety, quality, and environmental system compliance audits
  • Prepare regular management reports relating to company systems, compliance, and incidents
  • Maintain the company library of compliance resources including standards
  • Ensure Compliance-connections of the relevant processes and documents with the respective aviation requirement
  • Assist and actively support on the project management of the first eVTOL roll out
  • Join in strategic sessions in project management
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as Quality Manager in positions of comparable complexity within the aviation domain
  • Thorough knowledge of the EASA regulatory environment and EASA practices
  • Evidence of recent training in relevant Quality Management Standards, such as AS/EN/JISQ 9100, EASA Part-21, Part-ORO, Part-M, Part-145, or equivalent; sound knowledge of the difference between the different implementations
  • Qualification and current experience as first, second- or third-party auditor for management systems
  • Preferably you have been key to obtain one or more organizational approval through relevant Aviation Authorities
  • Preferably you have maintained existing organizational approvals through relevant Aviation Authorities throughout more than one surveillance cycle
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English
