We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).

Job Description

Integration of Flight Test Instrumentation Systems into FT aircraft
Installation of sensors (strain, vibration, and temperature), including wiring
Operate and assist in tasks related to the FTI System during daily flights
Maintenance, calibration and inventory control of sensors and equipment
Telemetry Systems set up for flight test

Qualifications

Required:

Technician/bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive or Aerospace sector
Experience in soldering and crimping electrical connections
Knowledge about how to configure and maintain computer systems and local area networks – Windows and Linux
Distinct hands-on mentality and solution oriented
Reliable, structured, and self-starter mindset
Highly flexible about working hours and willing to travel
Fluent in English language (written & spoken)

Desired:

Experience in sensor/wiring installation
Experience to understand CAD/schematic drawings
Basic programming skills, like Python
