Full-time
We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring urban air mobility to life, by getting air taxis and drones off the gorund in a way that complements current transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electric multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale VoloCity aircrafts (www.volocopter.com).
Your mission during this flight:
As Aircraft Integration Engineer with a good background in Human Factors, you will be in charge of the successful physical integration of aircraft systems. For this purpose, you coordinate systems integration, envelopes, and interfaces inline with aircraft requirements derived from early concepts until all following project phases.
You are a stakeholder of the (aircraft) digital twin. The digital twin assists with the early validation of requirements and integration procedures, optimizing the design with respect to weight, and maintainability (accessibility). Later in the product lifecycle, the digital twin is used for verification purposes too. You will be part of the aircraft team and work closely with design engineers, manufacturing, and quality.
