We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring urban air mobility to life, by getting air taxis and drones off the gorund in a way that complements current transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electric multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale VoloCity aircrafts (www.volocopter.com).

Your mission during this flight:

As an Electric Propulsion System Engineer- Verification you will be responsible for the electric propulsion system level verification tasks as input to system reviews and milestones. For this purpose, you manage system requirements verification and coherence through all levels of specifications and ensure proper processes implementation according to Design Handbook (DOH).

• You will review and maintain the electric propulsion system validation and verification plan.
• Your tasks will include requirement management, requirement capture, and formal validation.
• You will define the means of compliance with requirements.
• You will review and approve test procedures and test reports related to flight control integration tests.
• You will ensure proper verification of problem reports using the test rigs, aircraft, or other test means.

Check in your professional skills:

• Experience in performing certification testing for various certification organizations
• Knowledge of other aviation standards and recommended practices (ARP4761, DO160)
• Experience in verification of complex embedded systems
• Experience in requirements management
• Bachelor's degree in aviation, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or at least 5 years of system engineering professional experience

Preferred skills:

• Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS or Windchill RV&S)
• Experience with model-based design validation and verification is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Li-ion batteries, brushless DC motor control, DC power distribution, digital communication buses, and/or model-based systems engineering
