We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring urban air mobility to life, by getting air taxis and drones off the gorund in a way that complements current transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electric multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale VoloCity aircrafts (www.volocopter.com).

Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

  • You will provide support managing the indication and crew alerting requirements.
  • You will perform the system engineering activities as per ARP4754A (e.g. requirements validation, change management etc.)
  • You will acting as a technical focal point for a supplier.
  • You will perform the component design reviews (PDR, CDR etc.) with a supplier.
  • You will support reviewing the development lifecycle data generated by a supplier.
  • You will support determining and documenting the consistence of the supplier design data (requirements, verification evidence etc.) with the system requirements.
  • You will work closely with specialists in a multidisciplinary team.
     
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Degree in aerospace engineering, communications engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in aerospace development. 
  • Practical experience in the development of the Human-Machine Interfaces in a Flight Deck design.
  • Knowledge of the certification requirements and industry standards for the instrumentation/indication and crew alerting for the CS-25/29 aircraft.
  • Detailed knowledge and practical expertise of ARP4754A.
  • Good knowledge about requirements engineering with requirement management tools like Integrity or DOORS.
  • Thorough analytical skills and a structured approach.

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of the software development processes as per DO-178.
  • Experience in working in EASA approved Design Organisation (Part21J).
  • Experience of participation in the Human Factors certification activities.
