We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).

Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

You will be the go-to person for all configuration management procedure-related topics at Volocopter, working closely with airworthiness, engineering and production departments and will lead CCBs and ensure procedures and plans are followed and the teams are trained and know how to apply them.

  • Maintain Product Configuration in accordance with CM processes
  • Support creation and maintenance of Configuration Plans, Processes, and Instructions
  • Assure that company personnel adhere to the defined CM processes
  • Support Audits by external Authorities such as EASA
  • Manage Baselines (both prototype, development and serial)
  • Assure that the Change Process is followed and maintained
  • Support and facilitate change control board meetings
  • Support documentation and release process in our PLM system
  • Support teams to establish baselines and configuration control
  • Support teams during the drawing release process
  • Support Effectivity Management, DMU, and drawings baseline management
  • Support to manage the EBOM
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • At least 5 years or practical Configuration management experience 
  • Aviation industry practice in configuration control and management
  • Good knowledge of aerospace Configuration Management Standards for design and production organizations
  • Experience with PLM tools required (Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, etc.)
  • Knowledge of EASA and international configuration management standards
  • Experience with EASA or similar industry-standard audit processes
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
  • Good communication skills and team worker


Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254 standards
  • Agile project management experience
  • Good knowledge of a CAD system (preferably Siemens NX)
