We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with its full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).

Your mission during this flight:
As the Product Owner Battery Data Services & Analytics at Volocopter, you are part of the Digital Department and working as an integral part of our product design & product owner team. Volocopter’s eVTOL concept is the foundation for safe, ecological and economical operation of our aircraft. It is your responsibility to support the achievement of the above-mentioned key success factors by enabling battery data collection, analysis and optimization. In close cooperation with your development team, you pave the way for optimized and accelerated battery development, predictive maintenance, charging management, battery centric network flow and lifetime optimization as well as use case specific insight creation.
 

• You understand the evolving requirements of digital services and products around batteries and how insights generated from data support the technical development as well as end-customers' use cases
• You define, maintain and prioritize the product backlog for your product team and facilitate the delivery of use-case-centered product increments
• You collaborate closely with the battery development and production teams as well as other engineering teams to derive use cases and to discover optimization potentials
• You join forces with the VoloIQ Product Owner-Team to understand and further develop our VoloIQ ecosystem
• You coach our engineering teams in the usage of software and applications developed by your team

Check in your professional skills:

• A degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of engineering
• Several years of experience in the field of product management and/or data analytics
• Versed experience in IoT and battery analytics
• Excellent communication skills in English and German
• Hands-on experience with agile working methods (e.g., Scrum) and cooperating with international teams
• Reliability, ability to work in a team and a high level of customer orientation paired with an independent working method
• Aerospace or automotive background is a plus
