Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

Responsible for development of an effective investigation and safety training and promotion entity for VC. Conducting and managing high level Safety Investigations throughout Volocopter, for providing investigation and continuous improvement training and promotion, whilst also playing an active role in the continued development and effective functioning of the Corporate Safety Management System.

The role involves work closely with the Corporate Safety Manager to deliver a significant development in Safety Investigation and learning throughout Volocopter and ties directly into the compliance with the requirements of our existing and future approved aviation organization entities, such as DOA, POA, AOC, MOA.

  • Oversight and manage the Company Reporting System
  • Conduct complex investigations within Volocopter operations, design, manufacturing, and engineering
  • Development of promotion strategies for overarching safety activities with internal and external communication
  • Develop new or improve existing occurrence assessment processes within the approved aviation organizations
  • Training, supporting, and mentoring of local area investigators across Volocopter, including the monitoring of investigation quality, standards, and timeliness.
Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar
  • 3 years experience in an aviation investigation team
  • Ability to communicate at multiple levels (senior executive to front line workers)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Critical thinking
  • Ability to deliver to targets and outcomes
  • Ability to make decisions without consultation
