We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We are bringing urban air mobility to life by introducing our air taxis and drones as an electric addition to current transportation options in megacities worldwide. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

Within a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team you create and maintain the CAD Design of the state-of-the-art composite structure of the Volocopter. You have an eye inclined to details and are the go-to person in your team for CAD questions on Siemens NX.

Job tasks:

  • Detailed designs and changes in parametric 3D CAD models
  • Creation of single part and assembly drawings from 3D models
  • Create and maintain CAD assemblies in the Digital Mock-up
  • Creation and maintenance of parts lists in the PLM system
  • Creation and maintenance of internal company standards
  • Exchange CAD data with suppliers

Check-in your professional skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of 3D CAD with Siemens NX, especially in free form surfaces
  • Experience in handling large assemblies
  • Experience in CAD drafting of component and assembly drawings, incl. GD&T
  • Experience in PLM Software (Teamcenter)
  • An eye inclined to details

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with plastic or fibre composite technology
  • Experience with class A surfaces modelling is a plus
  • Ideally experienced in an aerospace environment
  • Experience with scaling frameworks, especially SAFe (this is not mandatory, but a plus)
  • Understanding of what Business Agility, Customer Centricity and Design Thinking mean
