Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis and other eVTOLs off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable, on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we carried out the first-ever piloted flight of a fully electric multicopter and have since conducted more than 1,500 public and private test flights across the world (www.volocopter.com).
Your mission during this flight:
- Overall management and responsibility of funded project portfolio at Volocopter, including deciding on public funding strategy in conjunction with Senior Leadership Team
- Overall responsibility to keep projects running together with respective project managers, mitigate risks and escalate decision to Senior Leadership Team
- Create and maintain an overview of the current funding landscape, evaluating potential opportunities for Volocopter at global, EU, federal and local levels
- Proactively suggest new opportunities by understanding the long-term commercial, product and technology strategy
- Provide support to individual project managers during application process, operational project phase and closing stages
- Quality gate on all cost collections per project together with finance and supporting project lead in timely filing interim and project end reporting
- Reviewing, evaluating and processing projects on a cost basis
- Processing grants/contracts in accordance with legal/contractual requirements
- Ensuring complete/correct internal Group reporting
- Negotiating agreements between different stakeholders independently
Check in your professional skills:
- Completed training or studies in administration/business administration/economics or related field
- Experience in administering funding projects & working within a Project Management Office (PMO) environment within a technology-heavy industry
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying attention to detail & prioritization
- Independent yet cooperative & customer-oriented working style
- Experience presenting before senior leaders & negotiating agreements between different stakeholders
- Proficient with common office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite), reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) & ERP systems
- Fluency in German (especially administrative German text) is essential; good command of English also required
