We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). Job Description

Your crew during this flight: 

As a member of a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team you will work on Volocity Iron-Bird electronic set-up and assembly and eventually assist with the Aircraft manufacture production line. Do you want to become part of a motivated team and work on exciting projects? We should get to know each other!

Your mission during this flight:

With your specific experience in cable assembly and electrical systems, you contribute directly to the constant improvement of this unique and safe flight experience. The main activities of this position consist of assembling, integrating and testing electronic cables, other tasks may include electro-mechanical assembly of electronic chassis, inventory movement, storage management and assisting engineers in implementing new processes. 

  • You perform a variety of manufacturing and assembling tasks of cables, harnesses, electronic racks and other mechanical components (e.g. panels, electronic boxes, PCBs)
  • You are able to assembly and test computational and data acquisition systems
  • You interpret technical and detailed documentation, schematics and mechanical drawings, wire tables and diagrams, wire connections and soldering and mechanical hardware specifications
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of cable assembly experience in the automobile or aerospace industry
  • Basic knowledge of Electronic Systems (troubleshooting, fabrication of harnesses, initial production of wiring)
  • Ability to demonstrate problem-solving with a creative and a hands-on approach
  • Able to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical diagrams
  • Ability to use drawings to manufacture and assembly cables and carry out the installation
  • Able to select the correct tools to carry out production tasks
  • You have the ability to use crimping and stripping tools, make all types of connections and knowledge on how to use laser mark wire machine

Preferred skills:

  • Very good knowledge of the English language
