We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We are bringing urban air mobility to life by introducing our air taxis and drones as an electric addition to current transportation options in megacities worldwide. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011, we performed the first-ever crewed flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopters (www.volocopter.com).

Your mission during this flight:

As a Health, Safety & Environment Specialist, you will be joining our HSE Department and you will be directly reporting to the HSE Manager. In your role, you will closely collaborate with all functions, from shop floor to flight test, to provide employees a safe and healthy workplace (§6 ASiG).

Together with Facilities and our partners, you conduct site safety visits to identify any gaps and provide recommendations to close them respectively. You will also support in integrating HSE into our Integrated Management System to ensure continuous improvement of our HSE performance!

• Consult line managers and functions in all aspects of occupational health, safety and environmental protection, including management of change
• Support in conducting risk assessments, defining and implementing actions to mitigate risks
• Support developing HSE procedures for the Integrated Management System
• Ensure implementation of legal requirements and internal HSE standards
• Support internal and external HSE audits
• Support incident investigations, analysis and reporting
• foster a safe working environment and increase overall HSE awareness
• Support site‘s emergency preparedness & response organization and prepare and conduct regular emergency drills

Check in your professional skills:

• Completed vocational training in a technical field or BSc/BA in safety engineering or relevant field
• 3 years+ experience in HSE
• Ability to work in a team
• Hands-On attitude and solution-based thinking
• Fluent in German and English
• Willingness to regularly travel to our Munich sites

Preferred skills:

• Experience in machine safety, hazardous substances management and other HSE related fields
• Knowledge in battery and electrical safety
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems
• Certified Occupational Health & Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) highly desired
