We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).
Volocopter is currently establishing a Quality and Compliance Management Team with the purpose to manage compliance with the different organizational requirements from within one central location. As part of the AOC Quality and Compliance Team, you are directly interfacing with Air Operations-Team of Volocopter and ensure fulfilling the Aviation requirements during built-up of the MRO. You will support to establish, implement and run those processes that span all the activities for the future approved organizations, and you are coordinating with the respective areas to ensure that each requirement is implemented in a consistent and efficient way. In this position, you adapt to internal and external changes that could affect the ongoing compliance of the management system and you take a liaison role between operational activities and management.
Your Tasks:
Ensure that applicable MRO approval is developed and implemented efficiently
Ensure that company policies, procedures, and work instructions are documented in a clear, simple and concise manner
Assist in the coordination of subcontractors by covering safety relevant elements
Identify relevant legislative requirements and updates
Conduct first- and second party aviation, safety, quality, and environmental system compliance audits
Prepare regular management reports relating to company systems, compliance, and incidents
Maintain the company library of compliance resources including standards
Ensure Compliance-connections of the relevant processes and documents with the respective aviation requirement
Report to the Compliance Manager
Assist and actively support on the applicable project management
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role as part of the Quality and Compliance Management team
Thorough knowledge of the EASA regulatory environment and EASA practices
Evidence of recent training in relevant Quality Management Standards, such as AS/EN/JISQ 9100, DIN EN ISO 19011, EASA Part-21, Part-ORO, Part-M, Part-145, or equivalent; sound knowledge of the difference between the different implementations
Qualification and current experience as first, second- or third-party auditor for management systems
Ideally you have been key to obtain one or more organizational approval through relevant Aviation Authorities
Ideally you have maintained existing organizational approvals through relevant Aviation Authorities throughout more than one surveillance cycle
Ability and willingness to travel
Fluent in English and ideally in German as well to interact with relevant Authorities, i.e. LBA
