Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

Develop and test the new Communication and Control Link (C2 Link) system to be used on VoloDrone VD150 serial product for BVLOS operations.

Contributes to the Overall Development Plan and Schedule of the communication System development
Proposes assesses and selects Concepts of Communication Systems
Propose, assess and test the antenna concept of the aircraft
Manages the Communication Systems requirements, their allocation, and traceability to UAV Specification
Supervises the electrical and digital interfaces related to Communication Systems
Manages the HW and SW developments for Communications Systems
Lead technically the subcontractors and suppliers related to Communications Systems
Supervises the strategy, preparation and execution of the Systems simulations, tests including HiL, SiL bench tests, scale model and Aircraft level tests
Manages the Substantiation of the Communications Systems regarding UAS specification, SORA requirements and Certification Specifications

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

Master Degree in Aeronautic System Engineering or Radio Frequency Engineering
3 years of proven experience in data links development and test
Experience setting up and/or troubleshooting BVLOS C2/3 link(s) (preferably in EU and US or Asia)
Deep knowledge of the actors and solution in the field of BVLOS datalinks
Experience with industry standards for BVLOS telemetry and commands
Experience with regulatory compliance of BVLOS links (Substantiation of communication systems regarding UAS specification, SORA requirements and Certification Specifications)
Engineering requirements and technical supplier management
Experience in testing BVLOS systems (HiL, SiL, scale model, aircraft)

Preferred skills:

Antenna placement/selection
RF experience in the 300MHz – 1.5GHz
Experience with LTE and 5G network
