Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis and other eVTOLs off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable, on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we carried out the first-ever piloted flight of a fully electric multicopter and have since conducted more than 1,500 public and private test flights across the world (www.volocopter.com). 

Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

 

As a DevOps Engineer for Cloud Platforms and Services, you are part of the CDO resort working on the conceptual design and further development of requirements for the VoloIQ platform. 

  • You create and develop platform services in Python, Go or C# 
  • You provide security & compliance in accordance with internal guidelines as well as other aviation regulations 
  • You maintain and further develop our infrastructure as Code Scripts 
  • You use pipelines as code for various applications 
  • You consult, setup and maintain build and release agents 
  • You use and configure tools like Visual Studio Code 
  • You consult customers and users on the possibilities of the cloud platform and its application in national and international teams 
  • You ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability 
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

 

  • A degree in business informatics, mathematics, economics, or a comparable vocational training 
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management experience with (and/or good understanding of):  
  1. Micro-services architectures (Docker, Kubernetes) 
  2. in any Cloud Platforms (Primarily Azure, AWS, GCP), 
  3. Infrastructure and Configuration as Code (Terraform, Ansible) 
  4. Git, CI/CD YAML pipelines, 
  5. Networking patterns 
  6. ELK or other cloud-native observability stacks 
  7. Windows and/or Linux OS Administration 
  • Experienced in production-grade operations (Product Launches, On-call duty, Backup, Monitoring, Alerting, Incident management, Disaster Recovery, Service Level Objectives, Post-mortem) 
  • Good knowledge of Scripting languages (i.e. Bash, Powershell, Golang) 
  • Passionate about the DevOps culture, Cloud Native and Trending Technologies 
  • Strong problem solving and automation skills (how to reduce the operational load to a minimum) 
  • A customer-centric approach with an open and constructive communication style and high self-motivation 

Preferred: 

  • Knowledge of authentication protocols like SAML, OAuth and OpenID
