We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring urban air mobility to life, by getting air taxis and drones off the gorund in a way that complements current transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. Your mission during this flight:

As a Loads Engineer, you perform flight physical simulations for aircraft loads generation to provide load cases and assist the aircraft development and certification process. You assist with flight load survey, model development, model and loads validation & reporting.

• You plan, execute, and interpret multi-physics load analysis of the A/C
• You perform load survey analyses, development of load cases, identification of critical loads over the flight envelope
• You assist with flight load survey execution, data reduction and post-processing
• You validate models and tools based on test results (bench, ground, and flight tests)
• You prepare repare compliance demonstration documents for the certification process of the aircraft

Check in your professional skills:

• Excellent knowledge and experience in rotorcraft flight dynamics and flight physics
• Knowledge and experience in rotor/rotorcraft aerodynamics, aerodynamic interactions and mathematical modelling
• Solid knowledge and experience in aircraft static and dynamic loads, flight, ground, landing and component loads
• Proficient in programming and data processing with languages e.g. Python, etc. and scripting e.g. Matlab, etc.
• A structured way of working and a high sense of accountability
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a loads engineer performing static and dynamic loads analysis for rotorcraft

Preferred skills:

• Experience and involvement in ground and flight testing -Previous involvement in the certification process and knowledge of applicable requirements
• Working experience with Flightlab, CAMRAD, CHARM or other aircraft load prediction tools is desirable
