We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). Your mission during this flight:

As Flight Simulator Engineer (m/f/d), you will work close to the flight science engineer and flight test teams to support with the flight simulator so that the relevant teams can get advanced insight and de-risking of aircraft operations as well as to assess the aircraft handling qualities and safety prior to the aircraft first flight.

• You will assist in the development of the flight simulator software and hardware environment.
• You will provide support with integration of Hardware and Software into the simulator environment.
• You will assist with validation of the aircraft simulation models using bench and flight test data.
• You will provide intensive coordination with the technical departments (aerodynamics, structural dynamics, flight mechanics, electrical propulsion, flight control, avionics).
• You will provide assistance with planning and execution of the simulator qualification.
• You will support the documentation and presentation of the work progress.

Check in your professional skills:

• At least 5 years of professional experience as Flight Simulator Engineer
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or comparable 
• Demonstrated experience with (engineering) flight simulator development and qualification (experience in CS-FSTD(H) beneficial)
• Professional experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK, C/C++ and Python
  • Matlab Embedded Code Generation
  • Communication protocols: UDP, TCP/IP, A429, Canbus, etc
  • Development of Graphical Software Interface (GUI)
• Reliable, structured, and self-motivated working method
• Strong ability to work in a team
