Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis and other eVTOLs off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable, on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we carried out the first-ever piloted flight of a fully electric multicopter and have since conducted more than 1,500 public and private test flights across the world (www.volocopter.com). 

Your mission during this flight:

The Safety & Compliance Monitoring Officer ATO facilitates hazard identification and risk management within the Volocopter Training Organization. The Safety & Compliance Monitoring Officer ATO will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing safety reports and reporting significant issues to the Head of Training.

• You will monitor the organization’s compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and with the Operations, Training, and Safety Management Manuals provisions.
• You will plan and execute int. and external audits according to EASA Aircrew Regulation 1178/2011.
• You will support customer/authority audits. You will train employees in Compliance and Safety Management.
• You will develop, administer, and maintain an effective safety management system.
• You will facilitate hazard identification, risk analysis, and management.
• You will monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risk.
• You will promote safety culture through internal and external training and communication.

Check in your professional skills:

• University degree
• 10+ years of experience in the aviation industry
• Previous experience in an ATO and leading teams
• Experience in operating flight simulators (technical experience, personal skills, language skills, etc.)
• Knowledge of EU aviation law (Air Crew & Air Ops Regulations)
• Specific face-to-face training as Safety and Compliance Manager
• Strategic and cross functional thinking and acting
• Sound knowledge of project management
• Very good knowledge of German and English both written & spoken
• Very good knowledge of the entire MS Office 365 package
