We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring urban air mobility to life, by getting air taxis and drones off the gorund in a way that complements current transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electric multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale VoloCity aircrafts (www.volocopter.com).

Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

You are a master's student interested in electrical aircrafts, flight control systems and knowledgeable in the field of system engineering? As a Working Student in the Flight Control System Team, you will assist the team by ensuring correctness and completeness of the flight control system requirements, documents, and parts. You will also help with requirement capture, flow down analysis, pre-validation and compilation of general status of requirements, working directly to one of our flight control experts.

You will collect information with component level and system level engineers
You will ensure the complete bill of material is either available in stock or ordered
You will research and propose alternate parts
You will review textual requirements and traces during pre-validation activities and review flow down of requirements
You will produce and maintain our dashboards for textual requirements containing status related to traces, validation and verification

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Knowledge of system engineering methodologies
Highly effective in collaborating and communicating with others (fluent in English, German is a plus)
Structured way of working, high sense of responsibility and accountability

Preferred skills:

Experienced with requirement management tools such as IBM Rational DOORS, Windchill RV&S, Polarion or similar
Excellent scripting skills, preferably Python
