We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

  • You will perform verification during monitoring activities of this Design Organization Handbook (VDH) for compliance with the applicable requirements of EASA Part-21
  • You will verify the adequacy of the Design Organization Handbook and its related procedures
  • You will plan an internal surveillance schedule and methods applied
  • You will plan a supplier surveillance schedule and methods applied
  • You will conduct independent internal surveillance activities and report findings and observations to HDO
  • You will conduct independent supplier surveillance activities and report findings and observations to HDO
  • You will follow-up and assess corrective action applied in response to identified findings
  • You will nominate and train ISM Auditors
  • You will support process owners and/or finding owners in the analysis of root causes and/or corrective actions
  • You will monitor compliance with,and adequacy of the implemented Design Management System
  • You will compile annual reporting items to EASA
  • You will report to EASA in cases of flight safety related non-compliances resulting in unsafe condition
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the applicable regulations to Design Organizations and to the Type Certification of products (previous job involvement in setting up or monitoring Design Organizations, or previous active involvement in EASA Type Certification processes, or confirmed by interview / assessment through HDO or COA)
  • Thorough knowledge of EASA Part-21 and the related AMC (dedicated training, job experience in equivalent positions, assessment through Head of Design Organization (HDO) or Chief of the Office of Airworthiness (COA)
  • Good experience with aviation risk management techniques (dedicated training or job experience)
  • Good understanding of aviation development and certification processes (dedicated training or job experience)
  • Familiarity with safety management systems for aircraft development
  • Knowledgeable about quality assurance principles for aircraft design
