We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We are bringing urban air mobility to life by introducing our air taxis and drones as an electric addition to current transportation options in megacities worldwide. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. Your mission during this flight:

As a Product Owner for your PLM Suite, you are in constant exchange with internal software users as well as external software vendors and the digital team, in order to define upcoming features or additional independent software components to offer a full engineering capability for future aircraft development based on state of the art cloud technologies. Together with a team of IT Operations, DevOps, Enterprise Software and Cyber Security you ensure an optimal performance, reliability, and scalability while orchestrating tool requests, that are aligned with our internal IT program management. You are responsible for the overall definition and implementation of our engineering software landscape, based on Siemens Teamcenter, NX and other engineering components.

Your tasks:

• You take over product ownership to initiate translation of business needs into technical requirements 
• You lead the feature planning and development in terms of requirements collection, prioritization, alignment with interdependent activities in other projects and transparent communication within and outside the company 
• You are the go-to person for internal users (customers) for the understanding and implementation of digital engineering processes 
• You manage technical documentation, user manuals and trainings
• You push the organization to reach a seamless and powerful state of the art design and simulation engineering software stack 

Check in your professional skills:

• Completed studies in the field of engineering
• Provent track and several years of professional experience in comparable positions
• Experience and comprehensive knowledge regarding engineering processes, the implementation and project management
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter regarding optimum system configuration including lifecycle states, business rules, and change management
• Reliability, ability to work in a team and high customer orientation paired with an independent way of working
• Excellent English and German, both written and spoken
