Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis and other eVTOLs off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. Job Description

Your mission during this flight: 

  • You support the extension of the capability of the production organization to include the battery packs.
  • You define the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to support the series production.
  • You develop all the necessary Control and Inspection Plans.
  • You perform acceptance tests and ensure the complete set of work documentation.
  • You moderate the PFMEA sessions and follow up all the necessary actions.
  • You perform First-Article-Inspection steps.
  • You implement and perform all Quality Assurance related activities as per P21G.
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills: 

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or other relevant disciplines with experience in working on battery packs.
  • Minimum 3+years of work experience in quality management within a production organisation, ideally in aviation.
  • Experience in working with high-voltage and high power systems.
  • Experience with quality standards (e.g. APQP, P-FMEA, Control-Plan, SPC, FAI, etc.).
  • Basic domain knowledge including battery wire-bonding, assembly of aviation hardware, and high voltage safety.
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills required.
