We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

Contributing to develop the Electric propulsion System of the VoloDrone either from Harware side hand in hand with our suppliers or from Software and Tools side. Taking part in all tests phases from simulation to flight tests on the way to release the VoloDrone in commercial operations.

You will work on UAV Electric and Propulsion Systems development
You will be able to work on electric and propulsion Systems suppliers/subcontractors technical management
You will be specifically in charge of developing and testing the new motor controllers and motors of the VoloDrone Propulsion system • You will perform bench testing preparation, execution, and analysis
You will help in conducting ground and Flight Testing preparation, execution and analysis
You will perform all functional troubleshooting and problems solving
You work “Hands-On” and perform testing “On the field” the new Volocopter Product VoloDrone
You will contribute to the design and qualification of Lithium Ion Battery Systems
You will help improve the reliability, manufacturability, and performance of entire power train

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

You have a Master Degree in Electrical System
You have 5 years of proven experience in Electric / Propulsion Systems development and test
You are a communicative team player and have organizational and implementation power
You have a responsible, initiative and solution-oriented way of working

Preferred skills:

Experience in Electric Powertrain
Experience in development of motor controllers Hardware and/or Software
Experience with Battery Systems
Experience Designing Test Systems
