We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

We are looking for a hands-on Test Infrastructure Engineer (HIL) (m/f/d)

You will be deeply involved in the selection of equipment to perform Hardware-in-the-loop tests of different aircraft systems, such as avionics, flight controls, battery management, and electric propulsion.
You will evaluate and support the development of software to enhance test automation capabilities.
You will interact with suppliers to ensure that their test solutions are optimized and comply with laboratory user requirements.
You will support the development, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of test benches.
You will support test engineers with troubleshooting and test issues during development and certification tests.

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

Graduated in Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer, Aeronautical Engineering, or a similar degree.
Knowledge of data acquisition and test equipment (preferably NI PXI Platform).
Experience with software development (preferably Python or C/C++).
Very good knowledge of the English language.

Preferred skills:

Structured, independent, hands-on attitude and solution-oriented way of working.
At least 3 years of working experience in testing aircraft or automotive systems.
Experience with LabVIEW and Veristand.
Experience with automotive or aerospace data buses, such as A429 and CAN Bus.
Experience with requirements engineering.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
