We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring urban air mobility to life, by getting air taxis and drones off the gorund in a way that complements current transportation options in megacities across the globe. Your mission during this flight:

We are currently seeking an Industrial Engineer for our VoloCity Production line. This position requires an experienced professional with comprehensive knowledge in the optimization of existing production in aircraft or automotive production.

• You develop and optimize a holistic manufacturing process chain
• You take care of single workstations within the process chain (area needs, staff, qualification, and utilization)
• You participate in DFMA reviews to ensure high-rate production topics are considered
• You optimize existing production workflows (lean production applications)
• You initiate procurements of production equipment
• You select, coordinate, and evaluate external equipment manufacturers
• You plan, control and follow-up of improvement projects
• You refollow, update and maintain technical documents

Check-in your professional skills:

• BS/MS In Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft and/or automotive production
• Experience in the investigation and optimization of workflows and processes
• MTM and REFA training
• Basic knowledge of business administration
• Experience in dealing with ERP/MES systems
• Knowledge of LEAN/5s methods
• Knowledge of production systems
• Experience in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)
• Fluent in English

Preferred skills:

• Experience introducing new processes into a production environment
• Experience in manufacturing fibre reinforced plastics
• Lean production experience
• Experience with SIEMENS NX as well as SIEMENS Teamcenter
• Project and Consultancy experience is a plus
• German is a plus
