Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

As a Simulator Test Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the development, qualification, and maintenance of Volocopter’s Simulators. 
You will also be responsible for conducting tests that support the development and certification process of the aircraft.

Your Role:

  • Your role in developing and maintaining Volocopter’s simulators will be performed following the company and EASA's guidelines, ensuring that the simulator is accepted by EASA as a certification tool
  • You will be responsible for the simulator set up, configuration, and validation, as well as the execution of tests according to the test plan, and delivery of the test results. Strong interaction with the system designers, developers, and flight test personnel, will allow you to ensure the tests are valid and run efficiently
  • You will be deeply involved in identifying and documenting test results
  • You will be involved in troubleshooting and identifying root causes for hardware, electrical, and software issues
  • You will support the development, installation, and operation of the simulator, as well as integrating and debugging the simulator's multiple systems.
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering (or similar degree) or experience - Aerospace Engineering will be considered as a plus
  • Working experience with flight simulator development, qualification, and testing of at least 3 years
  • Experience with simulator visual systems will be considered a plus
  • Knowledge in general of aircraft systems architectures
  • Basic software development knowledge (C/C++, Matalb and Simulink, python)
  • Experience with Requirements Engineering will be considered a plus.
  • Windows and Unix/Linux OS
  • Knowledge of data communication protocols as CAN BUS, A429 and UDP buses will be considered a plus
  • Experience with HSI of electric/electronic sensors and data acquisition
  • Knowledge of system schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Very good knowledge of the English language
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
