We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

As System Verification Engineer you will be responsible for all aircraft level verification tasks as input to aircraft reviews and milestones. For this purpose, you manage aircraft requirements verification and coherence through all levels of specifications and ensure proper processes implementation according to Design Handbook (DOH).
 

  • You define multi-system integration test structure to provide compliance evidence at the aircraft and/or system level
  • You develop test plans, test specifications and procedures at aircraft and/or system level
  • You collaborate and liaise with the Validation & Verification (V&V) manager in technical planning and execution of verification activities in the system integration and test phase
  • You carry out post-test activities including data acquisition, analysis of test results and investigation of problems and failures
  • You support flight test campaigns as telemetry engineer to specify FTI, review test cards, attend briefings and debriefings, review ground and flight restrictions with flight test and design engineers.
     
Qualifications

Check-in your professional skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in aviation, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering (or related discipline)
  • Profound knowledge of the systems development lifecycle according to the V-Model and in any of SAE-ARP-4754A (preferred), AUTOSAR or ISO 26262
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in validation & verification of complex, high-reliable systems
  • Good understanding of all technical aspects related to aircraft systems and aircraft flight physics
  • Flexibility to have an overall understanding of multiple aircraft systems and the integration between them
  • Experience in requirements management tools (such as DOORS or Windchill RV&S)
  • Experience in performing certification testing for various certification organizations
  • Experience in using traceability between requirements, architecture, design, analysis, and verification elements
  • Good writing and speaking skills in English and excellent communication skills

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of SAE-ARP-4761A
  • Formal training regarding system engineering is a strong plus (e.g., INCOSE)
  • Training as a certified test engineer or verification engineer is a strong plus, e.g. ISTQB
  • Experience with various systems engineering domains (e.g., Functional Engineering or Product Assurance)
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (SAFe)
