Job Description

Your crew during this flight:

You will join our currently 18 membered team of dynamic technical experts who are enthusiastic in the field of system engineering and flight control.

Your mission during this flight:

You are an expert in flight control systems and system engineering and are passionate about making a difference in the eVTOL aviation world. You have experience in requirements management including capture, validation and selection of means of compliance – all in accordance with ARP4754A. You are also knowledgeable on the safety of flight criteria definition and elaboration of the safety of flight declarations.

Within a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the coordination between the flight controls system engineering team and the system test team, defining the verification scope for each system test campaign, managing problem reports and open problem report justification. In addition, you manage a comprehensive requirement catalogue for the flight control system.

  • You will review and maintenance of flight controls validation and verification plan
  • Your tasks will include requirement management, requirement capture and formal validation
  • You will define the means of compliance with requirements
  • You will review and approve test procedures and test reports related to flight control integration tests
  • You will take care of the management of problem reports, including open problem reports justification according to AMC-189
  • You will ensure proper verification of problem reports using the test rigs, aircraft, or other test means 
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Engineering degree (at least Bachelor of Science)
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with ARP4754A
  • Knowledge of other aviation standards and recommended practices (ARP4761, DO160)
  • Experience in requirements management
  • Experience in verification of complex embedded systems
  • Highly skilled and effective in technical writing and communicating with others
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools (DOORS, RV&S, or other) 

Preferred skills:

  • A structured way of working and a high sense of accountability
  • Goal-oriented, problem solver
  • Previous involvement with internal QA audits or EASA audits is a plus 4
  • Experience with model-based design validation and verification is a plus
