Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

Volodrone is seeking a UAS Flight Assistant with sound judgment and strict flight discipline to operate within a small, highly mobile team, delivering customer demonstration flights. Success will require attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude and flexibility.
Enthusiasm for drone technology combined with the requisite technical skills and a passion for maintaining UAS will be vital for this role. The ideal candidate is innovative and enjoys solving problems.

Main tasks:

  • Drone maintenance and routine service
  • Ensuring that the UAS conforms to its design and is in a safe operational condition for flight
  • Work closely with engineering but will also be an important member of the demonstration flight operations team
  • Flight operations tasks will include but are not limited to; site set up, site risk assessment and assembly and disassembly of the UAS
  • Supporting the team to deliver on their assigned responsibilities will be a core aspect to this role
  • Aid in maintaining situational awareness of the position and state of the UAS whilst airborne
  • Aviation safety experience is strongly preferred. 50% of your time will include travel to and operations at locations within the EU and beyond
Qualifications

  • Ability to carry / lift up to 20 kgs
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and exemplary organisational skills
  • Good level of English
  • Passport essential

Preferred skills:

  • Has worked in small teams
  • Familiarity with common business applications and tools (e.g. MS Office, SQL)
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages
  • Experience in the aviation industry
  • Mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
  • Experience in installation of sub-assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files
  • Experience siting and operating portable radios, including antenna masts
  • Familiarity with maintenance guidelines as defined by regulations
  • Experience operating within the commercial UAS industry
  • Understanding of EASAs UAS regulations
