We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

As Avionics Component System Engineer you will be part of the Avionics team working on the VoloCity with a focus on CAN Bus components that run on a real urban air mobility solution.

  • Design and development of CAN architecture of the aircraft
  • Planning and supporting the development assurance activities (e.g. requirements validation, verification procedures development)
  • Preparing and performing the component design reviews (PDR, CDR etc.), internally and with suppliers
  • Supporting the generation of the compliance evidence for the certification
  • Work closely with specialists in a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering or similar
  • Proven experience in CAN Bus architecture and Fibre Optics
  • Detailed knowledge and practical expertise of ARP4754A, DO-254 and DO-160
  • Detailed knowledge of certification deliverables according to ARP4754A and DO-254
  • Good knowledge about requirements engineering with requirement management tools like Integrity or DOORS
  • Experience in digital and analog schematic design, PCB layout and design verification
  • Thorough analytical skills and a structured approach

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in working in EASA approved Design Organisation (Part21J)
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in aerospace development
  • Experience of working with the supplier for the "build to specification" development for the aircraft systems
