We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We are bringing urban air mobility to life by introducing our air taxis and drones as an electric addition to current transportation options in megacities worldwide. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011, we performed the first-ever crewed flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopters (www.volocopter.com).

Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

Reporting to the Lead People Experience, you will play a pivotal role in ramping up the production site for a world-changing product. You will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in a rapidly developing production-focused environment.

The HR Business Partner is accountable for delivering value-added service to management and employees along the complete employee lifecycle. With your holistic business view and relationship-building skills from shop floor to management, you will help to identify needs quickly. With your creativity and operational experience you will then enable to translate these needs into successful people-centered solutions, supporting successful growth.

The ideal candidate for this job will have a strong solution focus, emotional intelligence, and strategic design thinking, as you embrace facts and data and know-how to obtain solutions. You have a strong business consulting and business acumen, with the ability to collaborate and be able to understand management needs as you communicate in an inspiring and engaging way, supporting the personal and professional growth of employees and the company itself.

  • You will be responsible for continuing to build a highly collaborative environment that connects Business and People, striving to work effectively, inter-dependently and cooperative, ensuring the team has the right people with the right skills at the right time
  • You will manage close relationships with respective business units, consult with line management on the team’s needs and provide the excellent HR guidance
  • You will analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • You will manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, maintaining an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • You will work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • You will provide guidance and input on organizational development, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • You will work on HR projects to further improve our people experience services and structures
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable function (HRBP, HR Manager) in a production environment
  • Degree in an HR-related field (e.g. law, business administration, social sciences)Operational experience in German employment law, combined with basic tax and social security knowledge
  • You are a people person and strive to ensure that those around you thrive
  • Like all of us at Volocopter, you want to change the world and get things done
  • Excellent MS Office, HRIS and digital tool knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and excellent business English written and spoken
  • You roll up your sleeves and get what needs doing done


Preferred skills:

  • Change management and project management (agile preferred) experiences are a plus
  • Experience in aviation/engineering or a heavily regulated/technical field with a fast-paced environment will be an added advantage
