We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We are bringing urban air mobility to life by introducing our air taxis and drones as an electric addition to current transportation options in megacities worldwide. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011, we performed the first-ever crewed flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopters (www.volocopter.com).

Your mission during this flight:

You will work at one of the center points of our evolving and scaling Supply Chain division helping to drive Volocopter's future and day-to-day effectiveness. You will work closely with the entire Supply Chain Leadership Team to plan and prepare the production environment for all current and upcoming products.

• Participate in planning and ramp-up projects of production sites until handover to Operations
• Taking over sub-projects in current factory planning projects and ensuring that all requirements and cost targets are met
• Support in defining and driving the long-term supply chain strategy at Volocopter
• Identification of optimization potentials in existing production systems and derivation of improvement projects
• Ensure Supply Chain projects are managed on time and on target and drive day to day decision-making within the Supply Chain Division
• Organization of project management of ongoing projects and development of reporting and project tracking tools
• Initiate and independently research complex information requests, gather, analyze and summarize data for projects and reports, prepare the materials and determine method of presentation
• Coordinate and run meetings with various internal and external parties

Required skills

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Production & Logistics or similar
• Relevant work experience in Factory Planning and Production realization, Consulting, Strategy, Project Management or similar fields
• Team player and excellent organizational and implementation power
• Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
• Showing initiative, enjoying accountability, having a solution-oriented way of working and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent English and German, both written and spoken

Preferred skills

• Excellent analysis and evaluation skills with a drive to challenge the status quo
• High level of flexibility and efficiency
• Basic understanding of aviation from either field of production, maintenance or operation
• Basic understanding of automotive industry from either field of factory or production planning, logistics or lean management
